Preinstall consultation:
Onsite survey with limited testing to help in the decision process of choosing the proper flooring for your project. Verbal and written recommendations with installation guidelines and estimated costs for your project are included. This consultation is virtually free when you use a qualified installer referred by Wood Floor Consulting.

Onsite verbal consultation:
Complete assessment of a floor concern to determine the actual problem, the cause(s) and possible solution(s). Follow up calls (if required) to parties involved to explain the cause(s) and possible solution(s).
This consultation is primarily used to determine the problem, solution and if (applicable) persuade all parties to come together to resolve an issue when a formal letter is not required.

Standard consultation letter:
Includes onsite verbal consultation along with a written Standard consultation letter. When applicable, contact all parties involved to help in resolving an issue. Pertinent testing results with explanations of cause(s) and possible solution(s). Also includes a written quote on the recommended solution cost.
This letter is primarily used when a formal letter is required to persuade all parties to come together to resolve an issue.

Insurance consultation letter:
Includes onsite verbal consultation along with a written Standard consultation letter containing assessments, pictures and recommended solution(s). Also includes a written quote on the recommended solution cost.
This letter is primarily used to determine the insurance company’s liability.

Certified inspection report:
Includes *everything in a standard consultation letter as well as a written Certified Inspection report. A certified inspection report also includes; complete testing data, pictures, and references to applied Industry standards that backup the cause(s) and possible solution(s). Contact all parties involved (when possible) to have their statements included in the report.
Includes research required to backup statements made in this report.
This report can be used to persuade all parties to come together to resolve an issue, mediation and or court proceedings.

Note: It is the inspector’s job to provide a written report with the pertinent information for client understanding, mediation or court purposes. It is not the inspector’s job to assign blame, but only to interpret this information and give an opinion as to the cause, and or remedy of the floor concern.
